Draft Flood Risk Management Plans have been produced by consulting engineers RPS on behalf of the Office of Public Works, for Thomastown and other areas of County Kilkenny.
The plans set out the preferred feasible measures to manage significant flood risk within each of these areas: Thomastown, Ballyhale, Ballyragget, Callan, Freshford, Graiguenamanagh, Inistioge, Kilkenny, and New Ross.
The draft plans will be on view at a Public Consultation Day to be held next Tuesday, October 18, in The New Park Hotel on the Castlecomer Road in Kilkenn. It will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The OPW wants to give local people the opportunity to comment on the draft Flood Risk Management Plans before they are finalised. Please come along on the day, view the draft plan for your area and provide any comments you may have.
