Christmas is almost here, and all of us at Thomastown Community Network wish you and yours all the best for a very Happy Christmas and an exciting New Year.
Our town is still busy in the run up to the big day, and there are some Christmas events that we would like to make you aware of:
We hope you all enjoyed the wonderful ‘Christmas in Thomastown’ weekend held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of December, which started off the Festive Season in the town. The kids made Christmas cookies covered in sparkles at the School of Food and clay Christmas decorations in the afternoon at the Pottery Skills School.
Come and experience the Magic of Christmas in Thomastown on Saturday December 2nd and Sunday December 3rd, 2017. Thomastown Community Network is arranging its second ‘Christmas in Thomastown’ weekend, with the Light Parade and the arrival of Santa in his Magical Fire Engine.
Thanks to all concerned for the great turn-out at the Thomastown Community Network AGM, held on Wednesday October 4th. The new Management Group was voted in there, and the Office Bearers were elected at the following meeting.
Our inaugural ‘Pumpkins in the Park’ event proved a spectacularly spooky success when it was held the day after Halloween.
Thanks to everyone who brought their wonderful creations! In total, 159 pumpkins were diverted from landfill, and were sent to be composted instead.
Our ‘Pumpkins in the Park’ event is getting a great response! We’re expecting a great turnout (weather permitting!).
It will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Quay Car Park on Wednesday November 1 – bring along all your Halloween pumpkins from the night before!
